Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are expecting their first child. The soon-to-be parents made the announcement recently as they embarked on a new phase as a couple. Now, it looks like Ranveer is set to take time off to spend time with Deepika.
As per reports on Zoom, Ranveer Singh is set to take a year-long paternity leave to support Deepika Padukone. A source shared, “Deepika had already cleared the decks. She had gradually eased out all of her work and was getting ready for a long paternity leave. Ranveer had no such plans. But after his one-year dates for Baiju Bawra were vacated, Ranveer had no other assignments ready to go on the floor. He has now decided not to take any interim assignments before Don 3, Shaktiman, and Aditya Dhar’s action films start next year. He will be spending time with Deepika and the baby.”
In February, Deepika and Ranveer announced their pregnancy They shared an artwork featuring small onesies, baby shoes and accessories in pink and blue with “September 2024” written on it, revealing the estimated date of their first child’s birth.
More recently, the two were seen attending the pre-wedding bash of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar, Gujarat. They also performed on stage.
