Director Hansal Mehta is in the middle of shooting his period drama titled Gandhi which stars Pratik Gandhi in the titular role of Mahatma Gandhi and Bhamini Oza who will be essaying the role of Kasturba Gandhi. The director who is known for his work like CityLights and Scoop has now announced new additions to the cast.
Tom Felton, who is known for his iconic portrayal of Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter film franchise, has officially joined the cast of Gandhi. Joining Felton in the international series are acclaimed British actors including James Murray, Jonno Davies, Molly Wright, Simon Lennon, Ralph Adeniy, Libby Mai, and Lindon Alexander.

The series has been referred to as India’s equivalent to The Crown in the past and the major part of the scenes that showcase Gandhi’s early life will be shot in London. The series is based on historian and author Ramachandra Guha’s two books, Gandhi before India and Gandhi: The Years that Changed the World.
