Xiaomi has started the countdown for its new foldable phone, the MIX Flip 2. The model, which will be introduced at the “Human x Car x Home” event on June 26, will offer a flagship-level user experience. The device’s recent listing on Geekbench and its powerful chipset support these rumors.
Geekbench confirms the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip for the Xiaomi MIX Flip 2
Geekbench has put the Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 to the test. The foldable managed to score 2,835 and 8,550 in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. The listing also confirms that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC will power the MIX Flip 2. This also means that the model will feature the Adreno 830 GPU, which supports ray tracing.
For those who don’t know, the Snapdragon 8 Elite is one of the most powerful processors in the mobile market. It’s built using TSMC’s 3nm process and features an 8-core structure. More specifically, it includes two Oryon cores running at 4,320 MHz and six Oryon cores running at 3,530 MHz.
For reference, the MIX Flip model, which went on sale in 2024, has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. This suggests that the upcoming foldable will continue to offer flagship-level performance like its predecessor.
Additionally, Geekbench platform confirms that the foldable phone will feature 12GB of RAM and run Android 15. Xiaomi will also include it among the first devices to receive Android 16.
The device’s leaked specs so far
Xiaomi will equip the MIX Flip 2 model with a 6.85-inch LTPO AMOLED main display offering 1.5K resolution and a 4.01-inch cover display.
The foldable will feature an IPX8 waterproof certification to prevent water-related damage. It will also pack a 5,100mAh battery supporting 50W wireless and 67W wired charging.
The model will closely follow its predecessor’s design, featuring a vertically positioned dual-camera setup on the back and a punch-hole display with thin bezels on the front.
