August 22 marks a special day for Telugu film lovers, as it is Megastar Chiranjeevi’s birthday. As he turns 70 on Friday, the occasion has been made even more special, with wishes pouring in from all quarters. But it is Chiranjeevi’s son and superstar Ram Charan’s wishes for his father that have now gone viral. The RRR star took to social media, stating that at 70, his father has only grown younger at heart and remains his inspiration.

Celebrating Chiranjeevi for the man he is…

In his special note, Ram Charan stated that the occasion is not about Chiranjeevi’s birthday but a celebration of the incredible man he is. Describing his father as his hero, guide and inspiration, the superstar ascribed his success and the values he carries comes from him. “At 70, you are growing younger at heart and more inspiring than ever. I pray for your health, happiness, and countless beautiful years ahead. Thank you for being the best father anyone could ever wish for. Happy Birthday.” Ram Charan organized a special birthday bash for Chiranjeevi in Goa. The event was a low-key affair with only members of the family taking part. A video of Ram Charan feeding his father the birthday cake and celebrating the occasion with his mother (Surekha) besides them, went viral on social media.

Title revealed for Anil Ravipudi’s film

While the birthday celebrations continue on one side, the makers of Chiranjeevi’s upcoming films took the occasion as an opportunity to officially announce their collaborations. Chiranjeevi has greenlit another film with director Bobby Kolli, who last delivered a massive hit Waltair Veerayya (starring Chiranjeevi). Fans are happy to see the actor and director reunite. Also, the title of the much-awaited film (Mega157) with director Anil Ravipudi, was announced — Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu —with a teaser. Additionally, the teaser of Vishwambhara was released confirming the film’s release for a summer 2026 release. With so much happening around, the birthday indeed seems to be special for Megastar.
