
Two promoter entities of Bajaj Finserv will sell up to 1.94 per cent stake in the company through block deals for up to ₹5,828 crore ($679 million), according to a term sheet viewed by businessline. The selling shareholders are Jamnalal Sons, which held 9.7 per cent stake at the end of March 2025, and Bajaj Holdings and Investment, which held 39.03 per cent stake. The floor price for the deal is ₹1,880 per share
The board of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency has approved opening of the proposed QIP Issue on June 5 to eligible qualified institutional buyers; the floor price is ₹173.83 a share. Earlier, its board had approved raising of up to ₹5,000 crore through a QIP issue in one or more tranches.
Coal India has entered into a pact with Indian Port Rail & Ropeway Corporation Ltd to develop rail infrastructure for the coal behemoth and its arms. The non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by the in Kolkata. Indian Port Rail & Ropeway Corporation Ltd is a joint venture company of 11 major ports under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, holding 90 per cent of equity capital and Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) under the Ministry of Railways, holding 10 per cent of equity capital.
Power Grid Corporation of India has acquired MEL Power Transmission, a special purpose vehicle (SPV), from PFC Consulting, for ₹558 crore. PFC Consulting is a subsidiary of the state-owned Power Finance Corporation. The SPV will establish a transmission system for the evacuation of power from Mahan Energen’s generation station in Madhya Pradesh on a BOOT (build own operate transfer) basis, according to a company statement.
Enersur S.A., one of Paraguay’s foremost renewable energy companies, has selected Praj Industries for its next major project. Praj, a global leader in bioeconomy-driven process solutions, will support the development, assessment, and phased implementation of a fully integrated biorefinery project in Paraguay. The biorefinery aims to produce, in addition to ethanol, co-products such as distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS), corn oil, biogas, biobitumen and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

Greenedge Enterprises, incorporated on March 9, 2009, operates in the niche space of golf-based loyalty, rewards, and travel experiences. The company reported a turnover of ₹19.82 crore for FY24, up from ₹13.67 crore in FY23 and ₹7.28 crore in FY22. It has a paid-up capital of ₹13 lakh and operates solely within India. Zaggle has signed a non-binding term sheet, with the acquisition expected to be completed within 90 days, subject to execution of definitive agreements and fulfilment of identified conditions. The mode of consideration — cash or share swap — will be decided by the board at a later stage.
JSW Energy on Thursday announced the commissioning of a 281 MW renewable energy project in Maharashtra, with solar capacity of 215 MW and wind capacity of 66 MW. This capacity addition will enable the company to benefit from the peak wind season during the year and will contribute to the overall renewable output, a company statement said. With this, the installed wind capacity stands at 3,482 MW, solar capacity at 1,968 MW and hydro capacity at 1,391 MW, taking the share of renewables in the overall capacity to 55 per cent.

Ashoka Buildcon has received Letters of Intent (LOIs) from the Motor Vehicles Department, Maharashtra, for ₹1,387 crore. The orders have been awarded jointly to Ashoka Buildcon and its subsidiary, Ashoka Purestudy Technologies Pvt. Ltd (APTPL). The contracts involve the design, implementation, integration, operation, and maintenance of the ITMS infrastructure. Each project is required to be executed over a 15-month implementation timeline, followed by a 10-year operations and maintenance period from the Go-Live date. These projects aim to strengthen road safety and traffic discipline by leveraging digital technologies across vulnerable and high-density corridors.
