Watch: Aditya Roy Kapur’s fun banter with paparazzi at Mumbai airport

Aditya Roy Kapur was papped at Mumbai airport on Wednesday night after attending the star-studded trailer launch of his upcoming film Metro… In Dino. The actor was seen dressed in a casual shirt and jeans, carrying a small backpack. However, it was his fun banter with the paparazzi stationed at the Mumbai airport that left netizens in splits.

Aditya gets flight safety tips from paparazzi

In one of the paparazzi videos, Aditya can be seen arriving at the airport. He was standing behind a steel railing as the paparazzi spotted him. Some of the videographers encouraged him to jump over the fence and head directly towards the airport entrance instead of taking the longer route. Aditya glanced at them with a subtle smile and then went on to jump over the fence, walking straight toward the videographers.

In another video, Aditya was seen getting his documents checked at the airport entrance while the paparazzi could be heard giving him flight safety tips. They were heard jokingly saying, “Flight nahi chalana bhai, peeche baithna. Khidki ke bahar haath mat daalna (Do not fly the plane, take the passenger seat. Do not put your hand out of the window). Aditya was seen smiling through this commentary. He waved to them before walking in.

Aditya Roy Kapur on Metro…In Dino

The actor is gearing up for the release of his next film titled Metro…In Dino. Directed by Anurag Basu, the film also stars Sara Ali Khan, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sensharma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Ali Fazal. “You have to strip yourself bare to feel all the love, loss, and longing he has poured into the story. With this project, there is also a musical element, where we had to figure out how to go from talking to singing, and then back to talking. Navigating that was challenging, but also rewarding,” he told Mid-day talking about the film.

He further said, “My character here is idiosyncratic. That gave me the opportunity to have fun with it. My last outing was The Night Manager [2023]. It’s nice to go from that intense role to something lighter. I enjoyed the first Metro. So, while doing this, I’d look forward to going to work every day. My journey as an actor is about trying things that I haven’t done before. It’s exciting to have that slight fear when you’re going into the unknown. You are the most alive and can possibly do your best work when you’re at the edge of fear. It’s nice to be in a space where you’re not sure because that means you’re pushing yourself into a place you haven’t been in.”
