Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Limited has entered into a partnership with XiCon International Limited to lease 7,500 electric scooters over the next two financial years. The agreement covers deployment of Wardwizard’s Wolf+ model scooters in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Pune for last-mile delivery operations.
The memorandum of understanding signed between the two companies outlines XiCon’s lease of the electric vehicles for financial years 2025-26 and 2026-27. Wardwizard will provide maintenance support, establish service and charging stations, and ensure vehicle uptime while managing spare parts and technical assistance.
XiCon International, a subsidiary of Kaiser Corporation, operates in engineering and manufacturing with focus on power, telecom, and infrastructure sectors. The company is expanding into electric mobility as part of its diversification strategy. XiCon will handle vehicle allocation, third-party delivery partnerships, mobile application development, and marketing for the electric scooter fleet.
Wardwizard Chairman and Managing Director Yatin Gupte said the partnership represents a step toward building electric mobility infrastructure for last-mile connectivity. XiCon Director Lyla Mehta described the agreement as part of the company’s mission to develop sustainable delivery systems.
The partnership includes joint rider training programs and co-branded service centers. Wardwizard will provide demonstration units for promotional activities while XiCon manages operational aspects of the delivery service.
Wardwizard trades on the Bombay Stock Exchange as India’s first publicly listed electric vehicle manufacturer. The company produces vehicles under the Joy e-bike and Joy e-rik brands and operates in over 400 cities across India with more than 10 models in both high-speed and low-speed categories.
The electric vehicle sector in India has seen growth as companies seek alternatives to fuel-powered transportation for delivery services. Last-mile delivery has become a focus area for electric vehicle adoption, particularly in metropolitan areas where traffic congestion and pollution concerns drive demand for cleaner transportation options.
XiCon’s entry into electric mobility reflects broader industry trends as traditional engineering and manufacturing companies expand into new sectors. The company’s parent organization, Kaiser Corporation, has experience in electro-mechanical fabrication and turnkey project execution across industrial sectors.
