Muthayya has secured numerous awards in the festival circuit. Directed by Bhaskhar Maurya, the film features Balagam fame K Sudhakar Reddy in the central role. Also featuring Arun Raj, Poorna Chandra, and Mounika Bomma, this one will stream on ETV Win soon.
A song titled Cinema La Act Jeshi was released from the movie today. “You must not be afraid to dream a little bigger despite all odds,” wrote Vijay Deverakonda, sharing the song digitally.
The makers said that the lyrics, written by Bhaskhar Maurya, paint the whimsical dreams of an old man chasing a cinematic dream. The tune by Karthik Rodriguez “bounces with energy and is a lighthearted anthem for anyone who’s ever dared to dream, no matter their age”.
A song titled ‘Aravaila Padusodu’ from the movie was recently shared by Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
Muthayya has won the Best Indian Film Award at the Kolkata International Film Festival 2022. Earlier, it won international acclaim. Sai Leela, Kiran Kumar and Jayavardhan Sagar also feature in the film. Bankrolled by Vamsi Karumanchi and Vrinda Prasad of HY Life Entertainments Private Limited and Fictionary Entertainment LLP, Muthayya has cinematography by Divakar Mani.
