Hyderabad: In a major blunder, the officials of Zila Parishad Government (Boys) High School in Mancherial town bearing examination center code 3015 delivered the wrong question papers to the 10th class students who appeared for the exam on Friday, March 21.
Around 240 students who were supposed to be given Telugu language paper, were given Hindi question paper. Thankfully, the invigilators who noticed the blunder even before the papers were served to the students, immediately sent the Hindi question papers to the police station.
However, the students had to face inconvenience because the exam which was supposed to be held from 9.30 am to 11.30 pm, was conducted from 11.30 am till 1.30 pm.
Safdar Ali, the superintendent of the examination center, and Padmaja, the custodian of the question papers, have been placed under suspension by the district education officer, after the district collector rushed to the exam centre and ordered action against the officials who showed negligence.
The father of one of the students warned that the education department officials will have to take responsibility, if something happens to his son, who was supposed to appear for Telugu exam on Friday, but was given Hindi exam question paper set instead.
The students were served the second language question paper (Hindi) instead of the first language paper (Telugu) on Friday.
The exam centers get the question papers for the next exam in advance, the reason why Hindi paper was also kept at the exam center.
