‘Two continents, 12,000 km’: UK man walks from England to Vietnam, documents his remarkable expedition | Trending News

While many believe that walking across two continents is nearly impossible, British man Luke Daekin defied the odds and accomplished this remarkable feat, demonstrating incredible endurance, resilience, and determination. He is walking from England to Vietnam.

What began as a bold idea turned into a remarkable real-life journey spanning 12,000 km and 23 countries. Daekin began his journey on September 16, 2024, starting from his hometown of Stratford-upon-Avon. Over 214 days, he made his way on foot across two continents, refusing to take shortcuts or use public transport. By the time he reached Bolu, Turkey, he had already walked through the UK, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Greece.

His route took him through bustling cities, remote farmlands, and challenging mountain terrains. After Turkey, he will cross into Georgia and Azerbaijan, and then take a ferry across the Caspian Sea into Kazakhstan. That leg of the journey can be challenging, with vast, barren landscapes offering little access to food, water, or shelter.

Undeterred, Daekin will further press on through Pakistan, Afghanistan, and India, navigating rough terrain and complex border regulations. From there, he will enter Bangladesh, then walk across Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, and finally reach Vietnam, with the final leg taking him from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi.

According to Daekin’s social media posts, the mission isn’t about setting records, it is about proving that ordinary people can take on extraordinary challenges. He undertook this solo expedition to show that with enough determination and resilience, anything is possible.

Throughout his journey, Daekin continues to share updates with his followers, showing them what he eats and his makeshift accommodation.

One of his videos racked up nearly five million views and a sea of reactions. “My guy really thinks he can simply pass the border from Armenia to Azerbaijan by walking. Good luck with that, Frodo,” he wrote. “Damn bro!! That‘s a challenge, wish you all the best for your journey!!,” another user commented.

“Im genuinely interested in how you walked from afghanistan to pakistan and then India,” a third user reacted.
