After singer Neha Kakkar broke down on stage after being booed for arriving three hours late to her Melbourne concert, her brother and fellow singer Tony Kakkar has come to her defense. Tony shared a cryptic Instagram post hinting that the delay was due to mismanagement, not Neha’s fault.
Without naming anyone, he wrote, “Suppose I invite you to my city for an event and take full responsibility for all arrangements— booking your hotel, car, airport pickup, and tickets. Now, imagine you arrive only to find that nothing has been booked. No car at the airport, no hotel reservation, and no tickets. In that situation, who is to blame?”
He further questioned the backlash Neha Kakkar faced at her Melbourne concert, writing, “Artiste maryada mein rahe, aur janta? (An artiste should remain within their limits, but what about the public?).”
Tony Kakkar also shared a video from Neha Kakkar’s concert, showing a fan in tears after being invited on stage. Addressing social media criticism that labeled Neha’s emotional breakdown as ‘fake’ while fans’ tears were seen as genuine, he wrote, “Fans bhi rote hain… fans ka rona fake nahi toh artist ka kaise ho sakta hai? (Fans cry too… if their tears aren’t fake, then how can an artiste’s be?).”
Fashionably late Neha Kakkar started crying after the angry crowd started chanting “Go back”. Despite her emotional appeal and apology, a section of the crowd remained unimpressed, accusing her of being unprofessional.
