Tata AutoComp acquires IAC Sweden to strengthen European presence

Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd, a leading Indian automotive components manufacturer, has announced the acquisition of International Automotive Components Group Sweden AB (IAC Sweden), a prominent manufacturer of interior systems and components for the automotive industry, which has an annual turnover of approximately $800 million.

The strategic acquisition strengthens Tata AutoComp’s presence in Sweden and deepens its relationships with key European original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in both the passenger and commercial vehicle segments. It also marks a significant step in expanding the company’s global footprint.

With this move, Tata AutoComp consolidates its position as one of India’s largest automotive component manufacturers and enhances its presence in Europe’s automotive sector. The acquisition is expected to generate strong synergy opportunities by enabling Tata AutoComp to leverage IAC Sweden’s advanced manufacturing capabilities, cutting-edge technology, and established customer relationships in the premium automotive space. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals in Europe.
