
Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), the Indian subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, kickstarted the financial year 2025-26 with a 14% year-on-year sales growth in April 2025.
The company reported total sales of 1,12,948 units for the month, a significant increase from 99,377 units sold in April 2024. Domestic sales contributed 95,214 units, reflecting an 8% growth over the 88,067 units sold in the same month last year. Meanwhile, exports surged by 57%, reaching 17,734 units compared to 11,310 units in April 2024.
Expressing gratitude and optimism, Mr. Deepak Mutreja, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, SMIPL, stated, “This positive start to the year fills us with gratitude. Each unit sold represents the beginning of a new journey with our customers and we are thankful to be a part of it. We will continue to work sincerely to meet the evolving expectations of our customers and contribute positively to their journey with us.”
April also marked several strategic developments for the company. SMIPL launched the 2025 edition of the OBD-2B compliant Suzuki Hayabusa in three new dual-tone color options. To enhance digital accessibility, Suzuki products became available for online booking via Flipkart across eight Indian states.
Adding to the brand’s recognition, the Suzuki Access scooter entered the India Book of Records for achieving the fastest ride from Kuttanad, India’s lowest region, to Komic, the highest village in the country.
Founded in 2006, SMIPL operates from its Gurugram-based facility in Haryana with an annual production capacity of 1.3 million units. The company’s product portfolio includes scooters (125cc), premium motorcycles (150cc and above), and a range of Big Bikes, all tailored to meet the preferences of Indian customers.
