Sun TV Network Ltd, one of India’s largest television broadcasters, reported a 10 per cent drop in net profit to ₹372 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2025, against ₹415 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue was down 2 per cent to ₹941 crore (₹961 crore).
For FY25, the company reported a 12 per cent decline in net profit to ₹1,704 crore (₹1,926 crore) on a 6 per cent drop in revenue to ₹4,015 crore (₹4,282 crore).
For the full year, domestic subscription revenues on a standalone basis was at ₹1724 crore against ₹1,710 crores in FY24.
The results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2025, includes income from the company’s cricket franchises (Sunrisers Hyderabad and Sunrisers Eastern Cape) of ₹145 crore for the fourth quarter, and ₹642 crore for the full year.
Sun TV operates satellite television channels across seven languages of Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bangla, Marathi and Hindi. It also airs FM radio stations across India.
On the NSE, the company’s share priced closed at ₹628.90, down by ₹12.85 (-2.00 per cent).
