Parasakthi, the latest directorial venture of Sudha Kongara, has officially wrapped its shoot. The makers confirmed that filming has been completed and the movie is now moving into post-production. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on January 14, 2026, coinciding with the Pongal festival, one of Tamil cinema’s most competitive and celebrated release seasons.
Filming Comes to an End
The project has been in the spotlight since its announcement, largely due to Sudha’s impressive track record with Irudhi Suttru and Soorarai Potru. With Parasakthi, she returns to helm a story that blends emotion, social relevance, and drama on a grand scale. The announcement of the wrap was accompanied by celebratory posts from the cast and crew, signalling the start of the final leg before release.

A Powerful Collaboration
Parasakthi has an ensemble cast led by Sivakarthikeyan, Atharvaa, Ravi Mohan, and Sreeleela, who makes her Tamil cinema debut with this film. The project originally had Suriya in the lead alongside Dulquer Salmaan, Nazriya Nazim, and Vijay Varma, but the team was later reshuffled, bringing together a new set of dynamic performers.
Sudha Kongara has written the story with Arjun Nadesan, while Ganeshaa handled additional screenplay duties. Dialogues are penned by Madhan Karky and Shan Karuppusamy. The film is produced by Aakash Baskaran under his banner Dawn Pictures, with Dev Ramnath serving as creative producer and MP Senthel and Rhea Kongara as executive producers. Red Giant Movies will handle the distribution.
