Reliance Industries said it will invest Rs 65,000 crore in setting up 500 compressed bogas plants in Andhra Pradesh, with the ground breaking for first of these taking place on Wednesday. Andhra Pradesh IT & Electronics Minister Nara Lokesh laid the foundation stone of the first Reliance Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) plant at Kanigiri in Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh, the company said in a statement.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India has issued an administrative warning letter to HDFC Bank for regulatory non-compliance. Pursuant to periodic inspection of custody activities undertaken by the bank, SEBI issued an administrative warning letter for alleged non-compliance with certain regulatory guidelines, which are applicable to custodians, HDFC Bank said in a regulatory filing.

Punjab National Bank has posted a credit growth of 13.6 per cent to Rs 11.17 lakh crore for the March quarter. Total advances were Rs 9.83 lakh crore at the end of March 31, 2024, PNB said in a regulatory filing. The lender reported a 14.3 per cent rise in total deposits to Rs 15.65 lakh crore as against Rs 13.69 lakh crore at the end of the fourth quarter of the previous financial year.

Shree Cement has commissioned its new grinding unit at Etah, UP, with an annual capacity of 3 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). The Bangur family promoted firm has invested Rs 850 crore on this greenfield facility, which is expected to create more than 500 direct and indirect employment opportunities, according to a company statement.

Lupin has acquired UK-based Renascience Pharma for 12.3 million pounds (around Rs 135 crore). Lupin Healthcare (UK) Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Mumbai-based drug maker, is acquiring a 100 per cent stake in Renascience, which supplies products in the UK. With the acquisition, Lupin Healthcare (UK) Limited gains full ownership of Renascience which, going forward, will trade as its subsidiary, Lupin Ltd said in a statement.

MOIL has posted a record 2.7 per cent rise in its manganese ore production to 18.02 lakh tonnes in FY25, an official statement said on Wednesday. “MOIL has recorded its best-ever financial year performance in FY25, achieving remarkable milestones across key performance indicators,” the Ministry of Steel statement said.

GE Power India has secured an order worth ₹38.2 crore from state-owned NTPC Ltd. The order is for the supply of generator parts to the NTPC project at Talcher in Odisha, GE Power India said in an exchange filing.

Mahindra Lifespace Developers Limited (MLDL), the real estate and infrastructure development arm of the Mahindra Group, announced today that it has been appointed as the preferred partner for the redevelopment of two residential societies in the Lokhandwala Complex, Andheri West, Mumbai, with a project value of approximately ₹1,200 crore. Bharat Forge Chairman Baba Kalyani on Wednesday said that the company has supplied 100 guns, including 18 Advanced Towed Artillery Guns (ATAGs), to several countries, including those in Europe .“We exported artillery guns to Europe even before supplying them to the Indian Army. As a matter of fact, last year, we supplied 100 guns to a European country, including 18 ATAGs, Kalyani said at a press conference at the company’s headquarters here.

Fortis Healthcare on Wednesday said it has acquired the Fortis trademark through an auction with a bid of Rs 200 crore. As intimated on October 30, 2024, by way of order dated October 29, 2024, the Hon’ble Delhi High Court had ordered for the sale of the ‘Fortis’ trademarks and allied marks by way of public auction, as, pursuant to the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India’s judgment dated September 22, 2022, the healthcare provider said in a regulatory filing.

SAR Televenture on Wednesday said its board has approved the acquisition of a majority stake in Tikona Infinet for Rs 578 crore through a share swap arrangement. The acquisition paves SAR Televenture’s entry into the enterprise broadband segment.
