Steelbird Helmets has launched the SBH-23 AVA Glossy, a half-face helmet designed for summer riding conditions. The product was announced on June 4, 2025, and is now available at company outlets and authorized dealers across India.
The helmet incorporates six built-in air vents to address ventilation challenges during hot weather riding. The design includes Italian-manufactured interiors that are removable and washable, aimed at maintaining hygiene during extended use in humid conditions.
According to Managing Director Rajeev Kapur, the company developed the product to address specific challenges faced by riders during summer months, including heat exposure and dust. The helmet combines safety features with ventilation systems for urban commuters and recreational riders.
The SBH-23 AVA features a high-impact ABS shell with multi-layer EPS foam for impact absorption. It includes a polycarbonate visor with anti-scratch coating and an integrated sunshield to reduce glare. The fastening system uses a European standard micro-metric buckle, and the helmet includes a neck protector component.
The product has received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards under IS 4151:2015 specifications. It is available in two sizes: M (580mm) and L (600mm), with multiple color options. The manufacturer has set the maximum retail price at ₹1,299.
Steelbird Helmets operates as one of India’s established helmet manufacturers, serving both urban commuting and recreational riding markets. The company focuses on combining safety standards with design features suited to Indian climate conditions.
The launch addresses the seasonal demand for ventilated protective gear among motorcycle users, particularly during summer months when temperatures and humidity levels increase across most Indian regions.
