Epic Varanasi set, a major highlight
The first two schedules of Globetrotter were held in Hyderabad and Odisha, and lasted for 20 days each. Rajamouli shot scenes with Mahesh Babu, Raj Sumumaran and Priyanka Chopra. But the current schedule seems to be a little longer, and according to trade reports, the Hyderabad schedule will last till October first week. The unit resumed shooting a couple of days ago, and Rajamouli is reportedly shooting at a special Varanasi set recreated in the film city. The director reportedly recreated Varanasi through a lavishly built set designed by Mohan Bingi. And the ‘spiritual capital of India’ set is tipped to be the most expensive one till date. Mahesh Babu, Prithviraj Sumumaran, and Madhavan join the film’s new schedule and will shoot in the epic Varanasi set. Designed in Nagara style of architecture punctuating towering spires and intricate carvings, the makers reportedly spent a lavish budget of around Rs 40 crore. The set would be a major attraction in the action adventure,†says a source in the know.

Rajamouli will shoot scenes, and later enhance the imagery in Vfx to give audiences an immersive experience. Known to create large-scale, fantastical worlds and achieve photorealism and visual spectacle, Rajamouli blends computer-generated imagery with live-action footage to create his signature visual grandeur. Most of his films leveraged in on the advanced technology tools for real-time output, and to achieve intricate detail. Priyanka Chopra Jonas is playing the leading lady in the action adventure written by Vijayendra Prasad.
