The Sony Xperia 1 VII is coming, and its first live images have just appeared. They’ve appeared thanks to the phone’s certification in Taiwan, with the NCC authority.

If you take a look at the gallery below, you’ll see 10 images of the Xperia 1 VII. This is not the first time we’re seeing the phone’s design, but it is the first time that we’re seeing the phone’s real-life images.
The Xperia 1 VII surfaced in CAD-based renders, that’s where the design got confirmed first. Speaking of which, there’s nothing unexpected when it comes to this design, basically. It’s per course for Sony at this point.
You’ll notice that it’s coming in three colors: black, navy green, and purple. The official names could be different, but those are basically the colors that will be on offer. The phone will look a lot like its predecessor.
It will have three rear cameras, and a physical shutter key
The corners will be slightly rounded, while both the front and the back sides will be flat. A triple camera setup will sit in the top-left corner on its back, and those cameras will be vertically aligned. They’ll all be a part of the same camera island.
All of the phone’s physical buttons will sit on the right-hand side, including the camera shutter key. An audio jack will be a part of the offering, once again, as it will sit at the top of the phone.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite is expected to fuel this phone. Larger telephoto and ultrawide cameras are tipped, but we still don’t have any concrete info on that. A 6.5-inch display was tipped via CAD renders.
The Sony Xperia 1 VI arrived in May last year, so the launch of this handset is probably not far off. We’re expecting it to get announced next month.
