The opening match of the 18th season of Indian Premiere League (IPL) is all set to begin on Saturday evening. The first match of the tournament will be between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders. Ahead of the match, Shah Rukh Khan, the co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders arrived in Kolkata and met his team.
Videos of his arrival at the Kolkata airport surfaced online, where he was seen surrounded by a crowd amid beefed up security. The actor was seen very a casual outfit, blowing kisses towards his fans before entering his car.
In another video, the actor was seen addressing his team. He could be heard saying, “Gold bless you. Please be healthy and happy.” The Pathaan star also welcomed the new members who joined the team this season. He mentioned a special thanks for his team’s new captain, Ajinkya Rahane. He said, “Welcome aboard to new members. Thank you Ajinkya for joining us and being our captain. God bless you and I hope you will find a good home here and play well with all of us. God bless you all. Have a good evening, a good match, and be healthy all of you.”

Shah Rukh Khan will be joining the crowd for the opening match of this season. His team won the last season of IPL. This was their third win.
