Sara Ali Khan about her character in Metro In Dino
Reflecting on the aesthetics of her character in Metro…In Dino, Sara shared, “As far as the look is concerned, much like everything else, it’s Basu da’s brainchild… and I think it definitely is not glamorous… it’s real & I feel like my character in this film is just an easy breezy girl that’s just figuring her life out. And I haven’t been given the opportunity to kind of showcase that in an urban but real sense before, you know.”

This will mark a conscious shift towards authenticity and simplicity for Sara, something that is signature to the tone director Anurag Basu`s direction. Just like it`s predecessor, Metro… In Dino explores themes of love, loneliness, and human connection in the fast-paced urban world. Sara`s role in the film seems to be that of an everyday girl navigating the complexities of relationships and identity in a modern city.
Notably, the actress`s look was initially trolled when the trailer of the film was launched. Her look was compared to the looks of her father Saif Ali Khan`s female imitation in Humshakals.
