We had earlier reported that Prabhas is taking his time to transform into the character and commence shooting for Spirit. While the film’s launch has been delayed by quite some time, meanwhile, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is capitalizing on the time to ramp up the pre and post production works. The director recently revealed that he has completed 70 per cent of the background score on Spirit. The interesting update has certainly excited fans of Prabhas.

Sandeep Vanga’s unique approach

In a conventional filmmaking process, a music composer starts working on the background score after the final visuals (edit) is locked. But instead of waiting for the film’s shooting, Sandeep Vanga’s took a unique approach — he has recorded the background score in advance —working with music composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar. Harshavardhan earlier worked with Sandeep for the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal too. The film’s music was a blockbuster; both the composer and director are trying to recreate the magic. For Animal too, they worked on a similar model. By employing such an approach, Sandeep believes it helps him to visualize the scenes and episodes in advance. This further helps him to edit the sequences profoundly and with precision.

“Sandeep Vanga is utilizing the time for greater productivity. Since it is still unclear as to when Prabhas commences the shooting, the director wanted to get everything ready including music and background score. The move saves a lot of post-production time,” informs a source close to the unit. Visuals of Sandeep and Rameshwar working on the music surfaced on social media last year. And the director’s latest revelation about the background reminds the audiences about the music recording sessions. While Prabhas is prepping up for his part, Tripti Dimri will be seen as the leading lady. Also, rumours are rife that Korean superstar Don Lee is also playing a significant role in the action entertainer, but the makers of the film are yet to clarify on the reports.
