All four Samsung Galaxy S23 series smartphones are now getting the June 2025 Android security update in the US. This follows some other markets which started getting the update earlier this month, including the company’s homeland.
With that being said, the devices in question are the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, Galaxy S23 Ultra, and Galaxy S23 FE. This update is based on Android 15 with One UI 7.0, in case you were wondering.
Four Samsung Galaxy S23 series phones are now getting the June 2025 update in the US
The update delivers 18 fixes from Google, which are aimed at the Android OS. Samsung has added a bunch of fixes of its own, for One UI, 19 of them, to be exact. The update is now rolling out in the US, but be patient, as it’s rolling out in stages.
This update’s rollout started in Korea, Samsung’s homeland. Following that, it made its way to Europe for all four devices, and now it’s rolling out in the US. If you don’t want to be patient, you can manually check whether the update is available via the phone’s settings.
Alternatively, you can also manually install it by using Odin, though we wouldn’t recommend that unless you know exactly what you’re doing. Also, make sure to download the right files.
All of these phones are eligible to get the Android 16 update, by the way, unlike the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra, which we talked about the other day. Android 15 is the end of the line for them, as far as major Android OS updates are concerned.
Android 16 is coming to all four of these phones later this year
Android 15 with One UI 7 arrived on Samsung’s phones not long ago, and yet, the Android 16 update is not that far away. It’s coming later this year, and Samsung is already heavily testing it for a number of devices.
