Sadia Khateeb on Pahalgam terror attack

Sadia Khateeb says, ”I’m heartbroken and devastated by what’s happened in Kashmir. So many innocent lives lost. It’s painful to see the place I call home go through this over and over again. My thoughts are with the families who are grieving. I pray for strength, peace for healing, and for peace.”

About the attack in Pahalgam

According to PTI, terrorists struck at a prime tourist location in Pahalgam in south Kashmir on Tuesday, killing at least 26 people, mostly tourists, and injuring several others. The deceased included two foreigners — from the UAE and Nepal — and two locals.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the terror attack and wrote on X, “I strongly condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured recover at the earliest. All possible assistance is being provided to those affected. Those behind this heinous act will be brought to justice…they will not be spared! Their evil agenda will never succeed. Our resolve to fight terrorism is unshakable, and it will get even stronger.”

Sadia Khateeb on her acting journey

Sadia Khateeb, who stepped into the acting arena with Shikara and Raksha Bandhan, made waves with her performance in The Diplomat. She essayed the role of Uzma Ahmed, a Muslim woman who married a Pakistani man only to be assaulted and tortured. She manages to reach the Indian Embassy, where she seeks help from JP Singh, a skilled diplomat.

Despite being an outsider with no film background, Sadia asserts, “We all have our own journey. I keep telling myself that I cannot compete because my approach towards work is different. I come from a city that no actor I know comes from. I don`t have an agency to guide me. So everything I`m doing right now is God`s help. It will take longer than other people who have power along with them.”
