Russia’s Supreme Court on Thursday suspended the country’s ban on the Taliban, following a request by the prosecutor general, RIA news agency reported.
This decision is a step toward removing the Taliban from Moscow’s official list of terrorist organisations, despite the group having been designated as such since 2003.
The Taliban is ruling Afghanistan since seizing power in August 2021.
