The availability of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is most assuredly coming up in the very near future, but as of right now, there is no confirmation of when those dates might be. That being said, there are some educated guesses that could be made based on current rumors and official information. For starters, Samsung has already announced that the next Galaxy Unpacked will take place on July 9. This event is when Samsung is supposed to show off the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 for the first time, as well as the rumored Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic.
As of today, a new rumor is claiming to know the availability date of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7, as well as a long-rumored third foldable device: The Samsung tri-fold phone. Since this is just a rumor, it’s recommended to take things with a grain of salt. However, that doesn’t mean the rumor should be dismissed.
Availability of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 begins in August
With Samsung suspected to unveil its latest foldables at the Unpacked event on July 9, it’s likely that it plans to make the phones available for purchase soon after. Perhaps within a few weeks. That’s exactly what the latest rumor is suggesting. Over on Weibo, Instant Digital is claiming that Samsung will reveal its Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 in July. Then, availability will happen in August. This seems like a reasonable time frame. That being said, there’s no mention of the exact day the phones will launch. So it could be the first week of August, it could be later. It also might not be in August at all. Samsung has typically made its latest foldable phones available just a couple of weeks after the announcement.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 were announced on July 10, 2024, and they launched on July 24. That’s exactly two weeks apart. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 weren’t much different. Both phones were announced on July 24, 2023, and they launched on August 11 that year. 16 days apart, or roughly two weeks. Taking this into consideration, we could see the next two foldables launch in late July. If Samsung follows the same schedule, that is.
Samsung’s tri-fold phone will launch in October
In addition to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, the rumor mentions a launch date for the tri-fold phone as well. According to the rumor, Samsung plans to unveil the phone at Unpacked alongside the other two phones. However, it will launch much later, with availability happening in October of this year.
