RRP Electronics exports its first packaged semiconductor consignment to Europe

RRP Electronics, Maharashtra’s first State-approved semiconductor plant, exported its first consignment to a European customer.

The estimated value of the order was ₹7 crore, primarily focused on ASICS-based technologies.

RRP Electronics has a fully established outsourced semiconductor assembly and testing unit and continues its expansion initiatives under the ₹12,035 crore State-approved Phase-I plan.

The company has tied up with AMB Taiwan for technological know-how.

The team from Taiwan is expected to arrive in the second week of April to complete the proof of concept for SIM card modules, to tap immediate opportunities.

This will be in addition to the IGBT (insulated-gate bipolar transistor) and MOSFET (transistor with a thin layer of silicon oxide between the gate and the channel) products that they propose to build under the RRP Electronics umbrella.

With the expansion in full swing, RRP Electronics has also initiated work in parallel on setting up Deca Technologies’ advanced packaging foundry to produce parts for Apple iphone and the OHT (ocular hypertension) facility to qualify for business from a multinational client through Deca Technologies, USA.

RRP Electronics has also commenced its journey in analog devices with direct opportunities from the automotive sector. This expansion will create multiple job opportunities.
