Ripple Premium White Tea from Kanan Devan Hills Plantations Company (KDHP), Munnar, won the “best Indian Origin tea award” at the Global Tea Championship (GTC) in Las Vegas.
The company said in a press note that the competition recognizes the highest-quality teas from around the globe and showcases the best teas from various tea origins.
K. Mathew Abraham, Managing Director& CEO of KDHP—the largest tea plantation company in South India—said that this was another global recognition of KDHP’s efforts, focus, and expertise in producing world-class premium-quality teas. The event showcased a remarkable array of teas worldwide, honouring excellence in leaf appearance, cup character, innovation, and overall quality.
White tea from KDHP also secured the ‘Highly Commended’ award from The Leafies 2024 competition, held in the UK in 2024. This is the third time that Ripple Premium White tea has secured global recognition for its quality, he said.
