On Tuesday, Reliance Jio extended its unlimited offer with a complimentary 4K JioHotstar subscription until April 15, which was previously limited to March 22. Jio users who recharge their numbers with a plan priced at Rs 299 or higher will receive a complimentary JioHotstar subscription, accessible on smartphones and smart TVs with up to 4K resolution for 90 days, along with a free JioFiber or Jio AirFiber connection for 50 days.
Users who opt for the Rs 299 monthly recharge plan will get 1.5GB of 4G data per day for 28 days, along with a JioHotstar subscription, enabling them to live stream the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 for free. Users with an active recharge plan can pay Rs 100 to get the same benefits linked to their phone number.
By extending this offer, the company aims to attract more subscribers to its platform, which recently surpassed 100 million paid subscribers. Unlike JioCinema, which follows a freemium model and offers free IPL 2024 streaming for everyone, access to content on JioHotstar requires a subscription. The plans are priced at Rs 149 for the three-month mobile plan, Rs 299 for the three-month super plan, and Rs 499 for the ad-free premium plan with 4K content access.
JioHotstar is the result of the JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar merger, offering a vast collection of movies and TV shows. It is also the exclusive streaming partner for IPL 2025, allowing users to experience the T20 cricket tournament in up to 4K resolution.
