Raja Singh Speaks Out After Resignation: Will Decide Next Move After Consulting Workers

In a significant political development, Goshamahal MLA T. Raja Singh on Friday confirmed that he has not yet decided on his next political move following his resignation from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The party officially accepted his resignation the same day through a letter signed by BJP national general secretary Arun Singh, citing directions from party president J.P. Nadda.

Raja Singh, a three-time MLA from Goshamahal and a prominent Hindutva figure, released a video message addressing his followers and party workers. “I joined the BJP 11 years ago as a karyakarta (worker). The party showed faith in me and gave me the Goshamahal ticket three times. I won consecutively. However, people have not fully understood the reasons behind my resignation,” he said.

He emphasized that he would continue to raise issues close to his ideology, such as protecting Gau Mata and speaking against “Love Jihad.” “No worker should be afraid. We have always stood up against anti-nationals (desh drohis) and will continue to do so. I will work more aggressively for Hindu dharma and my next step will be taken after speaking with our workers,” he added.

Sources in the BJP’s Telangana unit expressed surprise over Raja Singh’s departure, especially given his longstanding association with the party and his influence in Hyderabad’s Goshamahal constituency. Party insiders suggest that his discontent grew following the appointment of Ramchander Rao as BJP Telangana president earlier this month — a move Raja Singh publicly opposed.

He was also known to be dissatisfied with several decisions made by the party’s central leadership, particularly regarding appointments within his constituency. According to senior BJP leaders, Singh’s resistance to party directives and public criticism of internal matters eventually led to his resignation being accepted.

As speculation continues about whether Raja Singh will join another political outfit or launch his own movement, he remains firm that any decision will be made only after consulting his supporters and base.

For now, the firebrand ex-MLA remains an independent political force — vocal, defiant, and ready for his next battle.
