A first-year B.Tech student (20) of the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Allahabad, who suffered from hearing impairment, ended his life by jumping from the fifth floor of his hostel in Prayagraj, police said on Sunday.
On getting information, police rushed the injured student to the SRN Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
IIIT Public relations officer Pankaj Mishra said the student did not come for classes for the 3 months and was depressed.
