Actor-filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan is adding a new feather to his cap with playback singing. The team behind his upcoming film Dude announced that the movie’s third single will arrive this Saturday, with Pradeep himself behind the mic for the very first time. The reveal came via a fun promo where composer Sai Abhyankkar is seen trying, not without difficulty, to get Pradeep to sing.

The film’s soundtrack is already creating a buzz thanks to its first two releases, Oorum Blood and Nallaru Po. The third track is expected to highlight a lighter, playful side of the film’s music, while also giving fans a fresh glimpse of Pradeep’s versatility.

The Film’s World & Team Behind It

Dude also marks a fresh start for its director Keerthiswaran, who previously assisted Sudha Kongara on anthology titles such as Paava Kadhaigal and Putham Pudhu Kaalai. Making his feature debut, he teams up with Mamitha Baiju as the female lead, alongside a cast that includes Sarathkumar, Hridhu Haroon, Rohini, and Dravid Selvam.

The movie is backed by Mythri Movie Makers, one of South India’s biggest banners, and notably their second Tamil venture after Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly. On the technical side, Niketh Bommi is in charge of cinematography, while Barath Vikraman handles editing. The music, with its rising popularity, has been crafted by Sai Abhyankkar, who also steps in as a singer for some numbers.

Slated to arrive in theatres on October 17, just before Deepavali, Dude will enter a competitive festival season. With its mix of romance, comedy, and action, the film is expected to appeal to younger audiences while also adding to Pradeep’s growing stardom.

This isn’t the only project keeping him busy; Pradeep is also headlining Vignesh Shivan’s upcoming film Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), which features SJ Suryah, Krithi Shetty, Gouri G Kishan, and Seeman. With Dude hitting screens first and LIK waiting in the wings, 2025 looks set to be a milestone year for the actor.
