Prabhas okayed it, but Ravi Teja did that movie

In 2010, director Gopichand Malineni made his directorial debut with the action-comedy film, Don Seenu. The storyline of the movie was first pitched not to Ravi Teja but to Prabhas.

“I was working in the direction department of Billa when I got a chance to narrate the storyline to Prabhas garu during a Malaysia schedule. He liked the idea and was excited to do the film. Gopi Krishna Movies came forward to produce it. Once I returned to Hyderabad, I happened to pitch the storyline to Dil Raju garu, who felt that Ravi Teja would be more apt. Upon his suggestion, I approached Ravi Teja, who found the storyline extraordinary,” Malineni recently said in an interview.

Don Seenu, co-starring Shriya Saran, was produced by RR Venkat, who later went on to produce Mahesh Babu’s Businessman as well.

Prabhas is said to have missed out on Okkadu and Kick as well.
