The sudden passing of veteran actor Satish Shah on October 25 has left the entertainment world heartbroken. Known for his iconic roles in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Main Hoon Na, and Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Satish Shah was loved for his unmatched comic timing and his warm, kind-hearted nature. He passed away due to kidney failure at the age of 74.
To honour his memory, a Shraddhanjali Kriya (prayer meet) was held on Monday, October 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Jalaram Hall in Juhu, Mumbai. The gathering brought together his family, close friends, and several actors who came to pay their final respects and celebrate his remarkable life and career. David Dhawan, Rupali Ganguly, Johnny Lever, Poonam Dhillon and more were clicked at the prayer meet.

His Sarabhai vs Sarabhai co-star Sumeet Raghavan was among the first to arrive, joined by his family to offer prayers. Several celebrities from film and television were also spotted entering the venue, joining the Shah family in their grief. The atmosphere was quiet yet full of love, reflecting the deep affection people held for the actor. Many recalled how Satish Shah’s performances brought laughter and warmth into Indian households for decades.
