A Patiala resident and a student of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute, Aryan Sofeth, has secured 9th rank on NDA 2024 Merit announced by UPSC Friday.
Born in 2008, Aryan will be joining training for NDA 154th course at Khadagwasla, Pune.
His father Rupinder Singh also served in the IAF as Sergeant and after completing his tenure had joined Food and Supplies Department. At present, he is employed as Inspector Food and Civil Supplies at Patiala. His mother Suman Sofeth is a homemaker.
An Under-14 Punjab Gold Medlaist in Archery, Aryan had also participated in Nationals in 2022. On Friday, the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute also awarded him with the Best Cadet Officers Like Quality (OLQ).
