Parvathy Thiruvothu is set to don khaki for the first time on the Malayalam big screen in Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar. The actor introduced the project with a striking poster that carried the provocative line: “When the eyes deceive, who decides who the criminal is? Here’s the first look of Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar – a tale where perception itself can convict.”
The film is directed by Shahad, whose earlier works include Prakashan Parakkatte and Anuragam. Unlike her stint as a cop in the Telugu web series Dhootha, this marks Parvathy’s first time stepping into a police officer’s shoes in Malayalam cinema. With the story anchored within a police station, the film promises a tense atmosphere where appearances may not always align with reality.
Cast, Crew and Creative Vision
The screenplay has been shaped by PS Subramaniam and Vijesh Thottingal, bringing dual perspectives to the narrative. Parvathy is joined by seasoned star Vijayaraghavan and youth favourite Mathew Thomas in key roles, alongside Sidharth Bharathan, Unnimaya Prasad, and Azeez Nedumangad, who add weight to the supporting cast.
On the technical side, the project unites some strong names. Appu Prabhakar, known for his distinctive frames in Rekhachithram, handles cinematography, while Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra editor Chaman Chakko takes charge of the cuts. Music is by Mujeeb Majeed, whose background scores in Kishkindha Kaandam drew acclaim, and the action is choreographed by Kalai Kingson of Marco fame. Shooting will roll out in December across Kottayam and Ernakulam, under Arjun Selva’s 11 Icons Film Productions banner.
