On Friday afternoon, Bihar Police seized over 300 litres of branded foreign alcohol along the Jaipur-Banka route.
Earlier in the day, the Jaipur Police Station in Banka had received a tip-off that a vehicle might be smuggling liquor from Jharkhand’s Deoghar to Bihar.
The liquor was being smuggled in a vehicle disguised as a school van, whose driver had fled, SDPO Belhar Rajkishore Kumar said. “The vehicle was loaded with over 300 liters of liquor.”
Police recovered 929 bottles containing 319.125 liters of branded foreign alcohol.
