Top gainers
Tata Steel surged 4.91 per cent to ₹133.45, riding the strong momentum in metal stocks after the US announced a 90-day pause on reciprocal tariffs.
Power Grid gained 3.68 per cent to ₹304.10, while NTPC added 3.25 per cent to close at ₹360.10.
Kotak Mahindra Bank advanced 2.85 per cent to ₹2,111.50. Reliance Industries also posted a strong finish, rising 2.84 per cent to ₹1,219.30.
Top losers
Asian Paints was the top loser, falling 0.64 per cent to ₹2,394.20.
TCS followed, dipping 0.43 per cent to ₹3,232.30 amid weak cues in IT stocks and weak Q4 results
The market rally was largely driven by a broad-based recovery across sectors, with metals and banks at the forefront. Sentiment was further supported by the US policy shift, which is expected to ease trade pressure on export-heavy sectors.
