The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) Sunday suspended two drivers for allegedly using phones while driving.
The first driver was filmed watching a cricket match on his mobile phone while driving an air-conditioned Shivenri bus on the Dadar to Swargate route. A commuter had taken a short video of the act and tagged the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) on social media. The CMO replied to the post and informed about the suspension. The transport body also fined the contractor of the bus.
In the second case, a Pune-based commuter shared a picture of a driver using a mobile phone while driving and tagged the CMO on X. The CMO replied that the driver was suspended.
