Pune MP and Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation Murlidhar Mohol inaugurated a ‘Udan Yatri Cafe’ at Pune International Airport on Monday.

The cafe is located at the departure area of the new terminal of the airport, near the check-in counters. Mohol said, “In a step towards making air travel more accessible and comfortable, ‘Udaan Café’ at Pune Airport has started operations from Monday, April 28…After receiving an overwhelming response at Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Chennai airports, ‘Udaan Café’ is now ready to serve travelers at Pune International Airport.”

This initiative provides travelers with quality food options at affordable prices. Tea and water will be available for purchase at ₹10 and coffee, samosas, and sweets at ₹20. The Udaan Yatri Cafe is an initiative by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, designed to offer affordable food and beverages at airports, particularly benefiting travelers under the UDAN scheme.

These cafes provide essential refreshments—such as water, tea, coffee, and snacks—at significantly lower prices than typical airport outlets, aiming to make air travel more accessible and comfortable for all sections of society. The cafe will also be operated and managed by an all-
women team.
