Mohit Suri: Saiyaara is my homage to the love stories I love

Saiyaara, produced by Yash Raj Films (YRF) and directed by Mohit Suri, has caused an internet meltdown since the teaser of the film was released yesterday. There is outpouring of appreciation from every quarter for how promising the film is looking, for the brilliant tease to the title track and also for the young lead pair of the film. 

Saiyaara brings together YRF and Mohit, both known for creating timeless romances for an intense love story that has been unanimously loved by people. 

Saiyaara introduces Ahaan Panday as a quintessential hero and Aneet Padda (of Big Girls Don`t Cry fame) as the next YRF heroine. The gorgeous pair has got incredible love and appreciation for their effortless acting and brilliant chemistry in this romance.

For Mohit Suri, romance is a genre that is extremely close to his heart. Saiyaara is set to release on July 18, 2025 in theatres worldwide and is produced by the company’s CEO Akshaye Widhani. YRF is known to produce incredible romantic films over its rich legacy of 50 years and Akshaye is aware that people had huge expectations from the teaser of Saiyaara. 

He says, “Yash Raj Films has a special relationship with romance as a genre and we are exploring a new side of love that is intense yet uplifting through Saiyaara. It is an incredibly important film for us because we realised that people would have a lot of expectations from YRF doing a romantic film after a while.”

Akshaye adds, “We were delighted to have found the opportunity to collaborate with someone like Mohit Suri in our pursuit to make a love story that could resonate with not just the youth of our country but also with everyone who wants to watch a love story that they can root for.
