The title Saiyaara may mean a wandering celestial body, but its songs are purposeful and inquisitive. From the movie’s title track to Jubin Nautiyal’s Barbaad and Vishal Mishra’s Tum Ho Toh, each song from the Moti Suri directorial has been special.
The latest song is from the musical duo Sachet–Parampara. Titled Humsafar, its lyrics are written by Irshad Kamil. Sachet Tandon and Parampara Tandon have rendered it. “I lost my heart to you. Life has no colour. Without someone to care for, let me fill this winding path with love,” a poetic line goes. “Humsafar is a deeply special song for me because Sachet-Parampara became reference points for his lead pair Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda,” the director says.
The director also talks about how the lead actors drew inspiration from observing the music directors’ real-life collaboration, including their disagreements and how they built upon each other’s ideas to create the music. “Humsafar is a particularly significant song within the album, revealing a new dimension of romance in my film. It delves into a mature phase of love where companionship brings profound fulfillment, making life feel worthwhile and causing difficulties to recede, leaving a sense of completeness,” the director adds.
July 18th is when Saiyraara will head to theatres. The film has cinematography by Vikas Sivaraman. Sankalp Sadanah has penned the story and screenplay.
