Mahindra Tractors Flags Off ‘Ashwamedh’ Initiative Under ‘Rag Rag Laal Hai’ Campaign

Mahindra Tractors, a part of the Mahindra Group and the world’s largest tractor manufacturer by volume, launched a nationwide initiative titled ‘Ashwamedh’ on Friday as part of its ongoing ‘Rag Rag Laal Hai’ campaign. The campaign has been introduced to commemorate the company’s four decades of leadership in India’s tractor market.

The initiative was officially flagged off from Mahindra’s manufacturing facility in Nagpur, where six specially designated tractors began a 45-day journey across the country. The convoy will cover several states, visiting over 500 Mahindra dealerships and interacting with thousands of farmers along the way.

The journey aims to highlight Mahindra’s association with India’s agricultural sector, while also showcasing regional farming traditions and cultural diversity. The company views this as an opportunity to engage with its customer base and reinforce its position in rural markets.

As part of the campaign’s launch, Mahindra also hosted events at various dealerships, involving both employees and their families. These gatherings were aimed at recognising the contributions of the company’s sales and service teams in strengthening its network across the country.

Through the ‘Rag Rag Laal Hai’ campaign and the Ashwamedh convoy, Mahindra Tractors aims to continue supporting farmers while maintaining its leadership in the farm equipment segment.

Mahindra Tractors are designed to operate in a wide range of farm and non-farm conditions. Manufactured in India, the tractors are built to handle various terrains and are equipped with engine, powertrain, and component technologies intended to support performance and operator comfort.

The products are developed based on research, product testing, and development processes carried out at Mahindra Research Valley (MRV) in Chennai. The company manufactures tractors across five facilities located in Mumbai, Nagpur, Zaheerabad (Telangana), Jaipur, and Rudrapur (Uttarakhand). These facilities have collectively produced 4 million tractors and follow quality manufacturing systems, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) practices, and sustainability-focused operations.

In addition to tractors, Mahindra offers a range of farm machinery, including both tractor-propelled and self-propelled equipment. These offerings are supported through partnerships and acquisitions involving global farm equipment brands and agricultural technology startups. Mahindra also has manufacturing and assembly operations outside India in regions such as North America, Brazil, Mexico, Finland, Turkey, and Japan through its subsidiaries.
