Unilever’s Magnum Ice Cream Company has signed a memorandum of understanding with the government of Maharashtra to establish its India headquarters in Mumbai and to set up a global capability centre in Pune with an investment of ₹900 crore.
While the India headquarters will also serve as the regional HQ for Middle East, Turkey, and South Asia for the ice cream brand, the GCC is expected to create over 500 direct jobs by 2029, a release said.

The agreement was signed at the India Global Forum NXT25 Summit held in Mumbai, where the State government signed MoUs worth about $50 billion with global and domestic investors, a statement said.
Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority, the infrastructure development arm of the State government, also signed MoUs with entities such as HUDCO, REC Ltd, Power Finance Corporation, Indian Railway Finance Corporation and National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development.
