Rajkummar Rao`s upcoming production with Patralekha
After launching their production banner with Toaster, which has yet to premiere on Netflix, actor-couple Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa are wasting no time diving into their next project. Their sophomore film—still untitled—stars Rao alongside National Award winner Keerthy Suresh and is set to go on floors in Mumbai from June 1.
The film takes a satirical jab at the modern education system, spotlighting how academia has increasingly become a profit-driven industry rather than a space for learning and growth. Rao and Suresh play educators who uncover the rot beneath the polished surface of today’s schooling institutions.
Directed by Sector 36’s Aditya Nimbalkar, the project will begin in Mumbai before moving to Delhi, aiming for a tight 45-day shoot. As first-time producers, Rao and Patralekhaa are committed to backing socially relevant, thought-provoking stories that break away from conventional entertainment.
