Kuberaa was released in theatres this Friday. While FDFS audiences gave a round of applause to Kuberaa, those who watched the movie later on that day started finding its obvious flaws.
Many audience members who watched the evening and night shows on Friday complained that the movie lacks a well-rounded climax. “The ending felt abrupt. This flaw was evident in Love Story too, but Kuberaa should have been tighter, given its socio-political theme. Films aiming to deliver strong commentary need a fitting climax,” moviegoers remarked.
For a film running over three hours, a rushed climax doesn’t bode well.
A film enthusiast opined that the Dhanush-Rashmika Mandanna track was overindulgent. “Sekhar Kammula has gained a lot from Dhanush’s acting this time. An arresting performance can gloss over uneven screenplays,” a cinephile wrote.
Another major merit that has saved Kuberaa is Niketh Bommi’s outstanding cinematography.Â
