Kattanduko Janaki from Mithra Mandali was released today. Delivered with gusto by singers Rahul Sipligunj and RR Dhruvan, it is composed by RR Dhruvan in the style of Mandapeta Malakpeta song from the Shankar-directed Premikudu. The lyrics are penned by Kasarla Shyam.
As the energetic song takes off, the names of the talents behind it are mentioned as though it were an announcement. The title is borrowed directly from a famous Krishnam Raju punchline. The Hyderabadi Old City flavour is evident. The rap is high on energy and oddball vibe. The backdrop is realistic; the dance-off takes place in a narrow gully inhabited by the characters. References to the obsessions (Ista reels, etc) of today’s youngsters make the song all about Gen Z.
Mithra Mandali, a quirky and wacky entertainer, stars Priyadarshi, Rag Mayur, Vishnu Oi, and Prasad Behara in lead roles. Niharika NM has a primary role.
Mithra Mandali is co-produced by Somaraju Penmetsa. Siddharth SJ (cinematography), Peekay (editing), Shilpa Tangturu (costumes), and Gandhi Nadikudikar (art direction) are working on the project. Producer Bunny Vas has floated BV Works for the movie. He has joined hands with Sapta Aswa Creatives and Vyra Entertainments.Â
