Here’s some disappointing news for all the Jr NTR fans! The superstar who has been prepping up and sweating it out at the gym to sport a lean body for his upcoming film, Dragon, sustained minor injuries, recently. The actor was shooting a commercial for a clothing brand in Hyderabad.

Doctors advised two weeks rest

Jr NTR sustained injuries on the sets of an ad commercial. The actor was walking on the ramp floor… and the director couldn’t say ‘cut’ at the appropriate time as he was unsighted by the light effect. Jr NTR kept walking on the ramp that was reportedly 3 ft height, fell down and hurt himself. Although the injury was a minor one, the actor was advised to rest for two weeks as a precautionary measure. A statement from Jr NTR’s office read, “Mr. NTR sustained a minor injury today while shooting for an advertisement. On medical advice, he will be resting for the next couple of weeks to ensure a complete recovery. We would like to assure everyone that his condition is stable and there is no cause for concern. We sincerely request fans, media, and the public to refrain from any speculation.”

No updates till January 2026

As Jr NTR was preparing for a body transformation, the shooting of his upcoming film Dragon isn’t happening. The film unit is presently on a break, and director Prashanth Neel is likely to resume shooting after the actor’s body is transformed. This means, the shooting is expected to take place towards October end. Also, the makers decided not to give any updates regarding the film until January next year. Excess information about Dragon may backfire, and also till last month, Jr NTR was in the news for War 2, so the makers wanted to give a break. They wanted to focus on completing Dragon shooting and then turn the spotlight on promotions.
