
Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez‘s mother Kim Fernandez passed away on Sunday. The actor’s mother breathed her last at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.
Jacqueline spent the last few days by her mother Kim’s side after the latter suffered a heart stroke on March 24. The actor even skipped her performance at the opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League in Guwahati last month to be by her mother’s side.
Kim Fernandez was of Malaysian and Canadian descent. An air hostess in Bahrain, she met Elroy Fernandez, a Sri Lankan Burgher in the 1980s after he relocated from Sri Lanka to Bahrain in order to escape the civil unrest between the Sinhalese and the Tamils. Jacqueline, born in 1985, is the youngest of her parents’ four children, including two brothers and one sister.
Jacqueline Fernandez made her Bollywood debut in Sujoy Ghosh’s 2009 fantasy action comedy Aladdin. She has appeared in hit films like Sajid Khan’s 2010 ensemble comedy Housefull, Mohit Suri’s 2011 romantic thriller Murder 2, Sajid’s 2012 comedy Housefull 2, Abbas-Mustan’s 2013 action thriller Race 2, Sajid Nadiadwala’s 2014 action comedy Kick, Sajid-Farhad’s 2016 comedy Housefull 3, and David Dhawan’s 2017 comedy Judwaa 2. She was last seen opposite Sonu Sood in the latter’s directorial debut Fateh earlier this year. The actor has Tarun Mansukhani’s comedy Housefull 5 and Ahmed Khan’s adventure comedy Welcome to the Jungle in her kitty.
