Recently, it was rumoured that Puri Jagannadh had pitched a story to Akhil Akkineni. A fresh rumour, which is nothing less than shocking, has gone out.
Puri is believed to have pitched a story to Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi. Interestingly, the actor has given the nod.
Vijay is known to the Telugu audience as the villain of Vikram and Uppena. He was supposed to play a mighty role in Ram Charan’s 16th movie but that didn’t happen. Many star directors in non-Tamil industries look up to Vijay’s acting skills. Ironically, an out-of-form director like Puri Jagannadh has impressed him with a story.
The project falling in place will give Puri Jagannadh a rare opportunity. One hopes it is not a run-of-the-mill formula movie but a genre movie of sorts.
Last year, Vijay Sethupathi was seen in the blockbuster Maharaja and the flop Vidudalai Part 2. Puri hasn’t made an announcement since the failure of Double iSmart.
